Jack and Jill was founded in 1968 by a small group of parents who felt the need for a local nursery school. Initially, the school was run by mothers who would take turns teaching. Participating families collected and donated supplies to keep the school running. Over time, the school evolved as needs changed. Teachers were hired, curriculum established, and state requirements achieved. This original cooperative tradition is still reflected in the school today.
